I wanted to try Andrew Huberman’s Morning routine and test it to see what impact it would have on my health, mood, and productivity. I conducted two blood tests to see if the routine had any improvement in my testosterone levels, as well as self monitoring my energy levels and overall mood. And after 30 days, I feel like this actually may have changed my life.

The content that i needed
Here is the blue print:
1. Write down the time you wake up
2. 10-15min walk
3. Drink saltwater
4. Drink athletic green
5. 90min work – Work you love to do and passionate about- if you hate your work then you might not improve much
6. Physical exercise
7. Cold shower
8. Have breakfast/brunch/lunch at around 11am
9. Leave the phone alone, just focus on yourself and your work.

I have heard that you should eat something within the first hour of wakeing up if you want a higher metabolism. Im 15 years old, and trying to create a healthy morning routine that works for me. Its so confusing to find the optimal order to do things in and work out all the kinks. Anyone have thoughts about this in particular?

Can you please post a one year update? An honest review on if you’re still doing this routine and on what worked/what didn’t, biggest speed bumps/hurdles, what you wished you kept doing, what you’re glad that you’re still doing etc. If you’ve fallen off the bandwagon, document yourself getting back onto a routine that worked for you. As humans, we all stumble so this would probably be an encouraging video for many, many people to watch.
Do you have adhd? The car talk made me think a lot of the markers are there. Self initiation inertia (like you literally can’t without novelty or dopamine) is tied to executive dysfunction
Good video. Good to see your experience. I live in the Northern hemisphere with the sun only coming up at about 08:15/08:30 in the winter and setting already at 16:00ish. What can I do to get that morning sunlight? Where as by 08:30 I should already be at the office/behind my desk working.

But before you do this all, first you have to find out what is your passion? What motivates you to keep going to improve your life and your financial condition. Once you find that, then you follow his blue print. I think his passion is making educational youtube videos, and makes earning from this. That is why he spend his 90min work time toward his passion. If you hate your job or your business, then these morning routines will not be much help to you.

Even if you have a great office space at home. I find that going to cool coffee shops to get work done helps me. Being among others on their computers getting things done helps me.

Congratulations on your new you! Two comments if you don’t mind. (1) I would drink mineral water (with low sodium) instead of water to get other minerals like magnesium. (2) I wouldn’t get cold showers if I have musculoskeletal conditions. But it is better to check this with a doctor.
